We’re lucky in the fact we found a spare 180 degree spherical screen lying around our office, so we though we'd give Nthusim a try!
NTHUSIM Plus was aligned using single PC (using an Nvidia 285 GTX), horizontal spanned desktop using a Digital Matrox Triple Head to Go and three Benq MP776-ST projectors.
We used a standard laser level (available from all good hardware stores) to assist with getting the horizontal and vertical grid aligned correctly.
Here's the result .............

To test we tried Crysis and Tom Clancy Hawks.

[EDIT] We're planning to develop the set-up and Nthusim Plus to support 3D Vision Surround. Waiting on the new NVIDIA cards and drivers, so watch this space for updates

Looks great! I like the screen design.
I also like the idea of the laser leveler. The way I did it on my setup was merely use a string with a weight on the end of it to check alignment. The laser leveler idea is a lot better imho.
Sweet! Can I ask where did you got that curved visual screen since there is also depth curve in it.
Hmmmm Very Nice guys
I like that little concave curve too...
I know you wont give up too much, but is concave all the way or just the ends???

Happy to share. The screen is concave in shape - approx 180x45 degrees. It's going to be a part of a new product range which we are working on.
It was nice to have a spare screen lying around to test
Thanks Andy,
Besides looking HOT, what are the technical/perspective benefits from a concave circular screen?
So jealous....

Please more pictures...... im droooling, I need more, atleast a video...
Excellent setup Andy. You can have some fun with that
I planned to build a double-curved screen (plywood of course). But did not have enough space for it

We're working on adding a racing seat to the set-up, so once up and running, more on the video front will follow
This is exactly what I've imagined (probably a bit smaller screen for me though)! Looks like it'd be great for everything. Very cool.
I see you have the racing setup built. I like the video.

You'll have to excuse the driving ability .... the video was a quick snapshot of our plans. We're still in motion, but keeping everyone posted on developments.
With racing and flight sims I'm more of a builder than player at the moment myself. My driving and flying ability are very beginner in most of the games I play. Mostly because I have been picking up a lot of Steam game deals and I never stick to playing one game. A lot of simpit builders can be seen as gaming specialists, while my gaming style is more casual and generalist. (IE: my skills at games are not all that great *chuckle*)
Thats unreal (videos)!
Can i get a job at NThusim?
Nat
Where did you get that screen???
It's awesome! I Have to have one!
Thank you
