What are the licensing terms?

The NTHUSIM software is licensed for use in the home only. It is specifically made for home enthusiasts who want to experience simulation quality software for their own enjoyment.

Can I use this in a commercial project?

No. There are commercial solutions that exist and we'd be happy to point you in the right direction.

What is the difference between Standard and Plus?

The Standard edition is for one projector or one projector per PC (cluster) setups.

The Plus edition will allow up to three projectors to be independently configured and edge blended in a horizontal span setup, such as using Matrox TripleHead2Go, NVIDIA Surround or ATI Eyefinity.

How does activation work?

You can download and test the software FREE. It will run for 10 minutes at a time, giving you the opportunity to test it against your setup and games.

For activation, you'll first need a user account. Once you buy an activation, it is then added to your online account. This is a manual process, so please allow 24 hours for activation.

Click on 'my profile' to see your account and activations. When you are ready, run NTHUSIM on your visuals PC and click the "Activation" button. It will ask you for your username and password. It will then automatically activate for you.

Do I need to be connected to the Internet?

Yes. In order to activate you will need to be connected to the Internet. When you update the NTHUSIM software it will automatically upgrade your activation the next time you run it.

You can disconnect from the Internet once you have installed or upgraded and run the NTHUSIM software at least once afterwards. If you are not connected to the Internet the software won't be able to check if a new version has been released.

What do I need to run WideView?

It only matters how many projectors you want to connect to each PC.

  • If you have one projector on each PC (e.g. 3 projectors & 3 PCs) then NTHUSIM Standard edition is fine.
  • If you wanted to have more projectors (e.g. 6 projectors & 2 PCs) then NTHUSIM Plus edition is what you need.

You will need one activation per PC, so for 3x projector with 3x PC you'll need 3x NTHUSIM Standard.

Will there be support for NVIDIA's 3d Vision Surround?

Yes, this is currently supported by both NTHUSIM editions.

Should I connect my projector(s) to the primary display?

Not necessarily. Most games will only go full-screen on the primary display. But NTHUSIM will let you configure a non-primary display for your projectors. Simply move the NTHUSIM window onto the projected display and then press [Configure]. NTHUSIM will automatically adjust.

Can I use a 64bit Operating System?

Yes. NTHUSIM is fully compatible with Windows XP 64bit, Windows Vista 64bit, and Windows 7 64bit.

Will I lose my settings if I upgrade?

No. Your settings will be kept after upgrading.

Can I backup my settings?

Yes! Go to the tools menu and you will see [BACKUP] and [RESTORE] buttons.

Can I give my friend a copy?

Yes! Alternatively, why not invite them to join the community at NTHUSIM themselves.

Can I activate it on my friend's PC too?

No. The activation will pair the NTHUSIM software with your PC. We've tried to make it easy to work with, so it will allow you to update your operating system or upgrade your hardware. If you have any issues with activation, please let us know.
